UFC 169: Renan Barao vs. Urijah Faber Live Streaming Weigh-in Video: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Sean Smith

On Saturday, Urijah Faber will get his third shot at UFC gold in the UFC 169 main event against Renan Barao.

In less than three years with the world's top promotion, "The California Kid" has risen to the top of the bantamweight contender pool three times. The former WEC champion lost to Dominick Cruz at UFC 132 and Barao at UFC 149, but he'll have a chance to even the score with the Brazilian this weekend.

Also, featherweight champion Jose Aldo will attempt to defend his belt again in a matchup with Ricardo Lamas.

With five consecutive UFC title defenses, Aldo only stands behind Jon Jones in terms of title defenses inside the Octagon during a current championship reign. Considering his stranglehold over the 145-pound division began under the WEC banner, Aldo could assert himself as the world's top pound-for-pound fighter with a UFC 169 win.

The UFC 169 weigh-ins will be held on Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST. When the fighters start hitting the scale, live streaming video will be available on the video player above.

Below is the entire fight card for UFC 169, which will be held in Newark, N.J.

Today, all the bouts on the UFC 169 card will be made official as the fighters step on the scales at the official weigh-ins. Watch the live stream of the weigh-ins right here on Fansided at 4 PM ET. Tomorrow’s event features two championship bouts. In the co-main event of the evening, long time Featherweight champion, Jose Aldo, will look to defend his belt yet again against a new challenger, Ricardo Lamas. The main event is the Bantamweight championship rematch between Urijah Faber and Renan Barao.

UFC Heavyweights, Frank Mir and Alistair Overeem, are the third featured fight of the evening. Both men are on losing streaks and need to perform tomorrow night in order to keep their spot on the UFC roster.

Another interesting thing to watch out for is when John Lineker hits the scales. In 5 UFC Flyweight bouts, Lineker has missed weight 3 times. Dana White has stated that Lineker would have already been given a title shot if he had made weight. If Lineker can make weight today, and make it 5 in a row tomorrow night, expect him to challenge Demetrious Johnson for the title later this year.

Here is the entire UFC 169 card:

Golden State Warriors vs Utah Jazz: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by ELI KABERON

Each time it appears the Golden State Warriors have shaken their sloppy play, they fail to build any momentum.

Following one of their most impressive wins of the season, the Warriors will look to stop that trend Friday night when they visit the last-place Utah Jazz.

Since their 10-game winning streak was snapped Jan. 8, the Warriors (28-19) have gone 4-6, with none of the wins coming consecutively. The most recent of those victories came Thursday, when Golden State defeated the Pacific Division-leading Los Angeles Clippers 111-92 in wire-to-wire fashion. The Warriors dominated down low, holding a 53-34 edge in rebounding and 66-22 advantage in points in the paint.

David Lee had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Andrew Bogut added 14 and 17 boards as Golden State outrebounded an opponent for the first time in 10 games.

"We needed that to get ourselves going, we've been struggling as of late. This was a big for us, against a good team, but the test for us is to back it up (against Utah)," guard Stephen Curry said. "We have to make winning plays, pay attention to details, defend at a high level. That will travel with us and let us get wins."

Curry was extremely efficient versus the Clippers, scoring 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting. He also had seven assists to just three turnovers, which has been a key to the Warriors' success this season. When Curry protects the basketball, Golden State does well, as he averages 5.4 turnovers in losses, compared to 3.5 in wins.

That is good news against a Utah defense that is among the league's worst at forcing turnovers. Opponents give up the ball only 12.9 times per game against the Jazz (16-29), though the team is able to capitalize turning those turnovers into 17.1 points per game.

Utah has won back-to-back games - both at home - for only the third time this season and will be seeking its longest win streak of 2013-14.

After a three-point win over Washington two days earlier, the Jazz did most of their damage at the foul line Monday in a 106-99 victory over a depleted Sacramento team. Derrick Favors had 17 points and 12 rebounds as one of three players with double-doubles, and Utah made 35 of a league season-high 53 free throws.

The two straight wins have pushed the Jazz out of last place in the Western Conference, a spot they occupied since losing 14 of their first 15 games.

"It's a good feeling for us to move out of last place in the West," said forward Gordon Hayward. "It's a step forward for us as a team."

Hayward has been strong for the Jazz since missing five games earlier this month with a hip injury, averaging 18.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in three contests.

The Warriors swept the Jazz in a home-and-home series November 16 and 18, winning 98-87 at Salt Lake City in the back end. Golden State hasn't won multiple regular season games in Utah in the same season since the 1980-81 campaign.

Toronto Raptors vs Denver Nuggets: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by NOEY KUPCHAN

The Denver Nuggets couldn't keep up without their leading scorer last time out.

The Toronto Raptors, meanwhile, haven't missed a beat without theirs.

Ty Lawson and DeMar DeRozan are questionable to play Friday night when the Nuggets go for a 10th consecutive home win over the Raptors.

Denver (22-22) had posted back-to-back wins before falling 101-98 to Charlotte on Wednesday. The Nuggets were held to under 101 points for the first time in 14 games and shot just 39.0 percent with Lawson sidelined due to a left shoulder injury.

Leading the team with 17.9 points, 8.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game, Lawson is day to day.

"The one position that we cannot afford to have an injury or to have that player missing is Ty Lawson," coach Brian Shaw said. "His speed, along with being a pure point guard that can run the perimeter and direct everybody where to go and keep the defense on their toes, so we lose a lot of speed, we lose that playmaking ability. We tried to mix and match and make up for it in other ways but it definitely shows his value when he's not in there."

The Nuggets also lost Lawson's backup - Nate Robinson - to a sprained knee in the first quarter, leaving Randy Foye to play the point. He finished with a season-high 33 points and matched a season best with seven assists.

"It was hard playing without Ty Lawson and Nate Robinson because they push the ball so well and they do so many different things on the court," Foye said. "I just tried to mimic what those guys do on the court, just being really aggressive by attacking the defense.

"We will figure it out there is no quitting on this team."

The Raptors (24-21) enter the weekend having won four of five, including back-to-back victories without DeRozan. The fifth-year guard, averaging a career-best 21.8 points, is dealing with a foot injury but will travel with the team on its five-game road trip.

"We can't really have him out too long," said Greivis Vasquez, who started in place of DeRozan during Wednesday's 98-83 win over Orlando. "We need him."

Kyle Lowry has carried the load during DeRozan's absence, scoring 64 points while shooting 55.3 percent over the last two games. He added 11 assists and shot 6 of 11 from 3-point range against the Magic.

"His aggressive play means a lot," coach Dwane Casey said. "His veteran leadership out there on the court, you can't say enough."

Lowry, averaging career highs of 16.8 points and 7.6 assists, is hoping to make the Eastern Conference All-Star team.

"I keep my fingers crossed that the coaches voted him in because he deserves it," Casey said. "Right now he's one of the best point guards in the league."

Lowry was held in check during a 112-98 loss to Denver on Dec. 1, posting 17 points, but also shooting 5 of 15 while committing five turnovers. The Raptors have dropped 16 of 19 in this series since 2004-05, including nine straight road meetings by an average of 17.8 points while giving up 118.6 per game in that span.

Jonas Valanciunas, who had 18 points and 11 boards against the Nuggets last month, has shot 58.8 percent and averaged 17.0 and 13.3 while putting together a season-best three consecutive double-doubles. Toronto has won 12 of its last 14 when Valanciunas scores at least 12.

Dallas Mavericks vs Sacramento Kings : Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by RAMI MICHAIL

The Dallas Mavericks (26-21) host the Sacramento Kings (15-30) at 7:30 pm CT.

The Mavericks are coming off a 117-115 loss to the Houston Rockets in which All-Star Dirk Nowitzki finished with 38 points and 17 rebounds.

Quick Hits for the Mavs-Kings game

Flashback: The Kings embarrassed the Mavs in Sacramento in their last matchup 112-97. DeMarcus Cousins (32), Derrick Williams (31), and Isaiah Thomas (24) lit up the Mavs defense. This was also the first game the Kings played post Rudy Gay trade. Gay was not active for this game.

Boogy Cousins: The Mavs had no answer inside for him in their last meeting. To go along with his 32 points he also had 19 rebounds. Cousins has been out with an ankle injury so his status for this game is still up in the air. The Kings have lost 5 straight game with their star player sidelined.

D in Dallas?: Will the Mavericks be able to show any sign of life on defense? The Kings have Cousins, Thomas, Gay, Williams, Marcus Thornton, and Carl Landry who can all have big games. If the Mavs don’t bring it on the defensive side, the Kings can be in for another high scoring night.

Support: While Nowitzki was putting up 38 and 17 the rest of the starters combined for just 22 points. With the lack of defense the starting unit supplies as a whole, an off-night on offense will most likely result in a Mavs loss.

Bench Surging: Behind Devin Harris and Vince Carter the Mavs bench has been performing at a high level. In the last three games the bench has averaged 49 points. The Mavs need the bench to continue giving them a boost.

Topics: Dallas Mavericks, Demarcus Cousins, Dirk Nowitzki, Sacramento Kings

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Brooklyn Nets: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by JUSTIN EINHORN

Standing in the way of the Brooklyn Nets finishing with the NBA's best record in January are the hottest team and player in the league.

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder, coming off a dazzling performance against the defending champions, can record their second double-digit winning streak since moving to the Sooner State as they visit the Nets on Friday night.

Durant's streak of 12 straight games with at least 30 points matches the league's best since Tracy McGrady's run of 14 in 2002-03. His team owns the NBA's longest current win streak at nine, and the only time the Thunder (37-10) have had a better one since leaving Seattle in 2008 was a 12-game run last season.

Both streaks were extended Wednesday when Durant scored 33 as Oklahoma City rallied from an early 18-point deficit and rolled to a 112-95 win in Miami.

"I've scored points before in this league, it's not like this is totally new to me. But this long of a stretch of 30 points, I guess, is different for me," said Durant, averaging 38.0 points during his 12-game tear.

"I'm just trying to do whatever my team needs, night in and night out, to figure out what we need to do to win a basketball game."

Only twice in 18 games since Christmas has Durant failed to score 30, and one came Jan. 2 against the Nets (20-23). They held him to 24 points, rallied from 10 down in the final seven minutes and won 95-93 at Oklahoma City on Joe Johnson's jumper at the buzzer.

That victory propelled Brooklyn to a 10-2 record this month - both defeats came to Toronto. Every other team has at least three losses in January, though no club has been better in the second half of the month than the Thunder.

The Western Conference leaders have topped 100 points in every game of the streak, averaging 109.1 while shooting 51.3 percent. They've been no lower than that percentage in five straight games, including four on the road.

Serge Ibaka is shooting 59.3 percent during the streak while averaging 18.1 points, topping 20 for the third time in four games Wednesday. Derek Fisher scored a season-best 15 against Miami and is 13 of 21 from 3-point range over the past six games. Jeremy Lamb has totaled 32 points on 12-of-18 shooting in his last two.

"I trust in my teammates a lot more," Durant said. "No matter what happens, keep having faith in those guys."

Oklahoma City has surpassed 20 assists in five consecutive games despite being without point guard Russell Westbrook (knee).

"We're just playing together, trying to really come together as a team," Lamb said. "... It's fun when you play like that, sharing the ball. Everyone's having fun."

So were the Nets until having a five-game winning streak snapped Monday with a 104-103 home loss to the Raptors. Paul Pierce had a season-high 33 points but missed a long 3-pointer as time expired.

Brooklyn had given up the go-ahead jumper to Patrick Patterson with 6 seconds left after he stole Deron Williams' inbounds pass.

"I can't take it back," Williams told the team's official website. "It's not my first time turning the ball over to lose the game, and probably won't be my last, so we just have to respond on Friday."

That will be tough against a Thunder team which is 8-0 away from home versus East opponents. Brooklyn, though, joins Toronto as the only East teams to beat Oklahoma City, and Williams scored a season-best 29 in that win four weeks ago.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Minnesota Timberwolves: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by JEFF MEZYDLO

While the Minnesota Timberwolves have been playing well, the Memphis Grizzlies have been even better.

The Grizzlies can match a season high with a fifth straight victory by continuing their success in Minnesota and preventing the Timberwolves from recording a third consecutive win Friday night.

Mike Conley had 27 points and 10 assists as Memphis (24-20) shot 54.7 percent to win 99-89 at Sacramento on Wednesday. Winners in nine of 10, the Grizzlies have finally found a rhythm.

"Our chemistry right now is as good as I've ever seen it," first-year coach David Joerger said. "Our confidence is high and we're really trying to stay in the moment."

Memphis continues to flourish while going 7-1 since Marc Gasol returned from missing 23 games with a sprained knee. The Grizzlies have allowed an average of 85.9 points on 40.5 percent shooting since the reigning defensive player of the year came back, compared to the 98.3 and 46.5 percent they yielded while going 10-13 without him.

"Ever since we got Marc back we've been playing better," teammate Tayshaun Prince said. "You can see our confidence coming back. He helps us so much on defense. He has a real presence back there. When he was out we couldn't get stops regularly like we are now."

Conley is averaging a career-high 18.2 points, and totaled 46 on 16-of-27 shooting while dishing out 17 assists in the last two contests.

"I'm playing at a high level and doing what my team needs me to do to do," he said. "I'm just playing to win."

Without Gasol, Conley scored 28 against the Timberwolves on Dec. 15, but the Grizzlies' 11-game winning streak in the series ended with a 101-93 home loss. Memphis has still won five straight at Minnesota by an average of 10.2 points.

Hoping to end that slide, the Timberwolves (23-22) also look to match their season-best winning streak after they topped the .500 mark for the first time since Nov. 23 with an 88-77 home win over New Orleans on Wednesday.

Playing their first game since losing starting center Nikola Pekovic (18.0 points, 9.1 rebounds per game) for at least a week to an ankle injury, Kevin Love had 30 points and 14 rebounds as the Timberwolves won for the fifth time in six games.

"I was a little upset with myself with some of the shots I took that I felt like I could've made," said Love, who has 61 points in two games but was 11 of 26 and missed five of six 3-pointers Wednesday.

"The ball didn't feel great. That's the way it goes sometimes. If I can do that and we can win without Pek, that's a good sign."

Minnesota overcame a 40.2-percent shooting effort by holding the Pelicans to 35.4. Two nights earlier it held Chicago to 37.6 percent in a 95-86 road win.

"You're just trying to get better and understand what you're trying to accomplish out there," Ronny Turiaf told the Timberwolves' official website after he had four points and eight rebounds while starting for Pekovic.

Injuries have limited Love to action in three of Minnesota's last nine games against the Grizzlies. He's averaged 28.3 points during that span, and scored 30 at Memphis last month.

The Grizzlies could be without forward Mike Miller after he sprained his right thumb on Wednesday. Miller, who has played in all 44 games averaging 21.5 minutes, is listed as day to day.

Atlanta Hawks vs Philadelphia 76ers: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by ALAN FERGUSON

While a debilitating winter storm in the South caused the Atlanta Hawks' latest game to be postponed, it also gave starting point guard Jeff Teague a couple more days to heal.

There's a chance Teague could be back after a two-game absence in Friday night's road game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

With snow and ice making travel virtually impossible around the region, the Hawks were forced to call off Wednesday's scheduled contest against Detroit because the Pistons couldn't fly into Atlanta. That game would have been the Hawks' sixth in 10 days.

Instead, they got a much-needed break and Teague got the opportunity to push back his attempt to return from a sprained left ankle. He was reportedly back at practice Thursday and will travel to Philadelphia, but his status is unclear for Friday's game.

Teague was expected to miss at least two games after hurting the ankle in a 105-79 loss to San Antonio last Friday.

Atlanta (23-21) surely would like to have him back against Philadelphia. Teague had 33 points and 10 assists in a 113-103 win over the 76ers on Nov. 15, the only other matchup between the teams this season. He averaged 21.3 points and 10.3 assists in four games against Philadelphia in 2013, and the Hawks went 3-1.

However, they have been playing well without Teague, easily winning 112-87 at Milwaukee on Saturday before nearly knocking off Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City on Monday. Atlanta led by as many as 14 points in the second half but would lose 111-109, as Kevin Durant completed the Thunder's comeback by scoring seven of his 41 in the final 2:34, including the go-ahead jumper with 1.5 seconds left.

"Our group really competed tonight," coach Mike Budenholzer said. "I think their commitment to each other and their commitment to playing the way we want to play is excellent. Losing is very hard in this league, and our guys are hurting."

Atlanta was denied a season-high third consecutive road victory, but now visits a 76ers team which has lost a season-worst four straight at home and 10 of 13 overall.

Philadelphia (15-31), though, snapped a three-game skid with Evan Turner's buzzer-beater in a 95-94 win in Boston on Wednesday. Spencer Hawes had a team-best 20 points with four 3-pointers as all five starters scored in double figures.

"The biggest thing anybody can have is confidence. When someone gives you confidence, you can't let them down," said Turner, who had 16 points. "Thankfully, I got that from my team, and I'm glad we got a win."

Turner had one of his best performances of the season against Atlanta with 27 points, though the Sixers lost as Rookie of the Year candidate Michael Carter-Williams sat out with a foot injury.

Atlanta's DeMarre Carroll scored a career-high 21 that night and is averaging 15.6 over his last five games, shooting 62.5 percent.

The Hawks won 124-101 in their most recent visit to Philadelphia on April 10, ending a four-game skid there, despite Thaddeus Young's 28 points on 14-of-20 shooting.

Kyle Korver's NBA-record streak of hitting at least one 3-pointer is up to 113 games. The only two times the former Sixer has failed to make one on the road in the past two years were at Philadelphia on March 4, 2012, and the following month in Miami.

Milwaukee Bucks vs Orlando Magic: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Adam

Two worst teams square off on Monday as Milwaukee Bucks travel to Amway Center to face the Orlando Magic. Head to head the Magic have gone 2-0 straight up and 7-1 ATS in last 8 games.

The Bucks have to be one of the worst teams in the NBA and right now the Bucks are just trying to recover from the terrible times they have had on this season. The Bucks are almost 30 games under five hundred on the season and this is really showing in the lack of confidence the team has this year and how they have faltered on the year. Bucks offense has been terrible averaging just 91.7 points but just as concerning has been the terrible Milwuakee defense who is allowing 101.5 points a game.

For the Magic it is probably a good thing that the Bucks are so bad. In fact, the Magic are a team who has managed to win quite a few games on the season when compared to the Bucks. The Magic are only 23 games under five hundred on the season. Scoring for the Magic has been done at a rate of 96 points a game while the Magic defense is allowing 102.1 points a game.

Recent Betting Trends:

Bucks are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games.

Over is 5-1 in Magic last 6 home games.

Magic are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400.

Bucks are 1-7 ATS in the last 8 meetings.

Free Betting Pick: Orlando Magic -4.5

At least the Magic offense has shown the ability to consistently score over 90 points and tonight Orlando outscores Bucks on way to lopsided win. Bucks have been our top fade team the last month and it has led to easy winners, it continues tonight. Final Score Prediction, Orlando Magic win and cover ATS 105-89.

Los Angeles Clippers Vs Golden State Warriors: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by ANTONIO GONZALEZ

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - The debate about whether the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers are growing into unlikely California rivals might just be a matter of vocabulary.

Call it what you want.

On the court, there's no denying the players don't like each other.

The Pacific Division-leading Clippers visit the Warriors on Thursday night for the first time since Golden State's win on Christmas featured two ejections, two flagrant fouls, three technical fouls, countless elbows and constant chatter.

"It's not a rivalry. We don't have bad blood," Warriors coach Mark Jackson insisted after practice Wednesday, doing his best to downplay the rematch. "In this league, when you're competing and teams are getting after it and you're jockeying for playoff position in your same division, it makes it exciting. We embrace it. They embrace it."

Golden State's marketing team is sure trying to capitalize on the game.

On Wednesday, the team's website directed visitors to a preview page with the headline: "Battle for the Pacific." It also touted the game as "the season's final appearance of the division rival Clippers."

That nobody can agree on what to make of this revitalized series only speaks to how quickly it has blossomed even more. The physical play from both sides, though, has really said it all.

The games have grown increasingly testy the past two seasons as the franchises have transformed from perennial losers into Western Conference contenders. The most spirited meeting might have been the last one, a 105-103 win for the Warriors on Dec. 25 that left plenty of aches and accusations afterward.

Officials called a flagrant foul 2 on Warriors reserve Draymond Green for elbowing Clippers star Blake Griffin in the face while setting a screen near halfcourt at the end of the third quarter. That earned Green an automatic ejection, and the NBA fined him $15,000 for failing to leave the court in a timely manner.

Griffin received a technical foul for jawing with Green, and he was ejected for his second technical with 10:43 remaining after scuffling with Warriors center Andrew Bogut, who grabbed Griffin by the shirt and began wrestling with him when the two got tangled up going for a rebound.

Bogut was whistled for a flagrant foul and a technical. The NBA said the following day that Griffin should have received a common foul and not a technical.

Griffin accused Golden State of playing "cowardly basketball." Clippers coach Doc Rivers was equally irritated, cleverly saying he thought the Warriors tried to get Griffin thrown out.

"I don't know if they were but it sure looked like it. I can't accuse them of that but it looked like it. I'm not sure but that's what it looked like," Rivers said. "It's whatever you have to do to win, I guess."

About the only thing everybody involved can agree on is that the series can't truly be a rivalry until both teams compete for the division title or meet in the playoffs - or both - on a more consistent basis.

The Warriors (27-19) are five games behind the Clippers (33-15) and percentage points behind 27-18 Phoenix in the division. A night after Washington rallied in the second half to win 88-85 at Golden State, Los Angeles held off the Wizards 110-103 on Thursday.

The Clippers outlasted the Warriors 126-115 at Staples Center in the first meeting this season on Oct. 31. They meet for the final time on March 12 in Los Angeles, and a close race could only fuel the animosity more.

"It's two teams trying to get back to that (playoff) level and get further, so whenever you play against each other that intensity kicks in," said Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, whom fans voted to start the All-Star game over injured Clippers star Chris Paul.

"It's going to be a physical game," Green added. "That's just the way it's always going to be when us two teams face off."

While both teams are likely headed to the playoffs this April, that feat has been rare in their recent history.

The Clippers had made the postseason only once in 14 years until the last two seasons. The Warriors had made the playoffs just once since 1994 until a memorable run to the second round last spring.

With the Lakers in full rebuilding mode, the Clippers and Warriors suddenly believe they are built to contend for the division - and possibly an NBA title - for years to come.

"It says a lot about how far both teams have come," Jackson said. "You take baby steps and you continue to grow, you continue to develop and maybe one day this will be a rivalry. Maybe one day we will be playing for more than just a nationally televised game during the regular season. And all indications are that both teams are headed in that direction. It's a powerful statement to everybody involved."

The Cleveland Cavaliers will meet the New York Knicks on Friday night in an NBA basketball game that will be streaming live online for free from Madison Square Garden in New York at 7:30 PM ET
The Knicks lost three straight home games before winning the last three behind a rejuvenated attack led by Carmelo Anthony, and if that hot shooting continues, they might breeze past a Cavaliers team having major problems offensively.

"We are doing a great job as a team figuring it out," Anthony said after Tuesday's 114-88 win over Boston.
New York (18-27) had not hit 10 3-pointers in 12 consecutive games before doing so in each of the last four, making 50 in 106 attempts. That's a 47.2 percent clip compared to 33.5 in the previous 10 contests.
The Knicks have shot 52.3 percent from the field during their three-game win streak, scoring at least 110 points each time after not reaching that mark in 19 straight. They had averaged 93.6 points during a five-game skid, including blowouts by the Clippers and Brooklyn to open the homestand before a loss to last-place Philadelphia.
"When you make shots it makes it easier," said Anthony, who had 24 points Tuesday. "Guys are moving the ball and guys are making shots. Everyone feels like they are having fun again."
Anthony played 28 minutes and had 15 field-goal attempts -- personal lows this month -- after combining for 66 shots and 97 points in the previous two games.
"Our pace has really picked up. We are back to playing small ball again," coach Mike Woodson said. "Guys are shooting 3s and feeling good about them. It is good to see. I think guys are more committed now. There is a sense of urgency."
Counterpart Mike Brown is looking for his Cavaliers to show the same. They're coming off a 1-4 homestand which ended with fans booing them in a 100-89 loss to New Orleans on Tuesday.
Cleveland (16-29) shot 40.2 percent and averaged 91.2 points in those five games after a 4-2 stretch during which it scored more than 110 four times.
"Our competitive spirit is non-existent," Brown said. "Maybe I need to shake some things up. ... What we're doing out there is unacceptable."
Maybe a three-game trip will help. Most recently, the Cavs had a 3-2 road swing Jan. 10-17. In Cleveland, they've lost eight of 11.
Kyrie Irving had at least 23 points in four games during the homestand, but they were all losses.
"As a team, we go through stretches where it's ups and downs, that's just part of the game," Irving said.
His 37 points highlighted a 109-94 home win over the Knicks on Dec. 10. Irving has averaged 32.8 in the last four meetings but hasn't won at Madison Square Garden, and the Cavs have lost four straight there.
Top overall pick Anthony Bennett had his best performance Tuesday with 15 points and eight rebounds in 31-plus minutes. He had played in only two of the previous seven games.
The game will be telecast over the MSG cable television network, TNT Sports and live streamed on nbaliveonline.tv/streaming

Pittsburgh Penguins Vs Los Angeles Kings: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by ELI KABERON

With seven Pittsburgh Penguins players heading to the Olympics in a little more than a week, it'd be easy for the Eastern Conference's best team to have its minds wandering elsewhere on occasion.

The Penguins try to stay focused on a two-game trip that begins Thursday night in Los Angeles, where the Kings are hoping a return to Staples Center can help them snap out of a lengthy funk.

"As we get closer (to the Olympics), we are starting to think about it more and more," said Pittsburgh center Sidney Crosby, who will captain Team Canada. "It's not a bad thing. We're going out there, trying to make sure your game is where it needs to be, not only for your team, but playing at the right level for when we get (to Sochi).

"It's a good thing, I think it makes everyone better, but it's not something that I think should affect playing for (the Penguins)."

Pittsburgh (37-14-2) was shut out for just the third time this season in its latest road game, 3-0 at Dallas on Saturday, but it bounced back by beating Buffalo by the same score Monday. Crosby had a pair of assists while Marc-Andre Fleury made 24 saves for his NHL-leading 29th victory.

'When you play 82 every one isn't going to be perfect, but we're trying to be the best, not just into late June, but every game," said coach Dan Bylsma, who will also lead the U.S. team in Sochi.

Though the Penguins have a 15-point cushion atop the Metropolitan Division and a five-point lead over Boston for the conference's best record, there are areas to improve. Pittsburgh has allowed 3 goals per game over its last 10 after surrendering an average of 2.21 in its first 43.

"We still need to get better as a team and grow," said winger Chris Kunitz, who will also play for Canada. "We have 30-some games before the playoffs to make sure we're running on all cylinders, and make sure we're the best team going into the playoffs."

The Kings (30-19-6), who will send six players to Sochi, are having issues of their own heading into the break - mostly on the offensive end. Los Angeles has scored just twice in its last four games, and it's 1-5-1 in its last seven after Tuesday's 3-0 loss at Phoenix.

"There are team-wide frustrations and a personal frustration for some guys in here," captain Dustin Brown, who has failed to produce a point in the last eight games, told the league's official website. "I mean, I'm frustrated with the way I'm playing; it doesn't lend itself to getting goals and getting points."

Tuesday's defeat was the end of an eight-game stretch in 13 days away from Staples that included Saturday's 3-0 loss to Anaheim at Dodger Stadium.

Staples Center hasn't been much kinder to the Kings this month - they've scored once in three of their last four at home - but Los Angeles' January struggles have at least partially been a product of a schedule that's included games against St. Louis, Boston, San Jose and Anaheim twice in the past two weeks.

"It's getting a little late in the season right now, there's a lot of hockey games, and we're playing a lot of tough teams," forward Jordan Nolan told the team's website. "So I think it's definitely wearing down not only on our team, but on every team."

The Kings and Penguins haven't played since Jan. 5, 2011, a 3-2 Pittsburgh shootout win at Staples.

Crosby hasn't played in Los Angeles since November 2009. Evgeni Malkin has five goals and two assists in four career games against the Kings - all Pittsburgh victories.

Philadelphia Flyers Vs Anaheim Ducks: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by ELI KABERON

Having lost two of their last three at the Honda Center, the Ducks will look to return to their winning ways Thursday when they meet the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Ducks gained at least one point in their first 22 homes games, going 20-0-2, before losing 3-2 to Winnipeg on Jan. 21. A 2-1 win over visiting Los Angeles and a 3-0 victory against the Kings at Dodger Stadium followed, but Anaheim fell 4-2 at home to Minnesota on Tuesday.

"It's hard to keep playing at that high level all year, it's a long season," center Mathieu Perreault said. "We're kind of in a down slope, but I think every team goes through it. We'd rather go through it right now than later in the season or playoffs, so we can fix what's going wrong. That's what we are working on right now."

Since beating Vancouver 9-1 on Jan. 15, Anaheim (39-11-5) has been in a bit of an offensive slump. It has averaged 2.3 goals in splitting its last six games after scoring 3.4 per game in the first 49. Corey Perry, who is among the NHL leaders with 28 goals, has only scored once during the past six contests.

The Ducks still have the most points in the league despite their recent struggles, but coach Bruce Boudreau is concerned about the team coasting against opponents such as the Flyers, who are one of many clubs fighting for playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference.

"(Philadelphia) is a team we know that if we're not at our best, we're not going to succeed," Boudreau said. "They're in a real dog-eat-dog situation in the Metropolitan Division. Every point they get is really valuable to them."

The Flyers (26-22-6) snapped a four-game losing streak in resounding fashion, beating Detroit 5-0 on Tuesday. Left wing Scott Hartnell had two goals and an assist, center Claude Giroux added a goal and two assists and Steve Mason turned away 33 shots.

Giroux has three goals and three assists in his last four games.

Philadelphia is opening a three-game road trip through California, facing Los Angeles on Saturday and San Jose on Monday. The Flyers, who have lost three of four away from home, are 5-3 this season against the Pacific Division.

"We needed a big win, we needed two points," Hartnell said Tuesday. "We're (about to go) on a really tough road trip against some big opponents out west and we needed to get our confidence back going into that trip."

The Ducks have won four of the last five in this series, including rallying from a 2-0 deficit to post a 3-2 victory in Philadelphia on Oct. 29. Kyle Palmieri tied it early in the third period and scored the winner with 4:09 remaining.

The Flyers did win on their last trip to Anaheim, 4-3 in overtime on Giroux's goal Dec. 2, 2011.

PHOENIX COYOTES VS. BUFFALO SABRES: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Kyle

The Sabres look to spoil the party in Phoenix as they head to the desert looking for just their sixth win on the road this season.
Buffalo is certainly a team in transition as they have had a number of franchise altering moves over the past season and a half and while things have been sombre this season they certainly look bright for the future. The Sabres head into Thursday’s encounter with the Coyotes coming off an overtime loss and while they earned a single point in the process they remain at the bottom of the league standings with just 36 points. The Sabres aren’t done making moves as it is likely that pending free agent Ryan Miller will get shipped out before season’s end and with a number of playoff contenders looking for an upgrade between the pipes Miller certainly fits the bill as he is having a great season. Buffalo has struggled both at home and away and while the Coyotes may not be the team they once were they are still in the running for the playoffs and they do play well at home.
Phoenix has been the subject of the public eye over the past few seasons mainly for their off ice activity as the former financially strapped franchise that has since found new ownership was subject of relocation rumors for years. While the off ice distractions were on goi9ng they always seemed to find a way to perform on the ice and were one of the big surprises two years back as they upended the reigning Cup champions from Chicago and qualified for the Western Conference finals against the Kings. Phoenix isn’t living up to the billing this year but as I said they still have a shot at qualifying for the playoffs and even with backup Thomas Greiss in the crease I think they have a huge edge over the Sabres here. Expect a quick and simple effort from Phoenix as I think they cruise to victory behind a stellar effort from Greiss.

San Jose Sharks vs. Calgary Flames: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Daniel MacDonald

The Flames aren't winning games right now, but that doesn't mean they aren't playing in eventful games. Just look at what happened on Saturday night against the Canucks, where an opening-faceoff line brawl and the subsequent fallout has them at the fore of the hockey world for the first time all season. For the record, the game was a loss, the Flames third consecutive and seventh in nine January games. They currently sit just 3 points up on the Oilers for the basement spot in the West.

Acting General Manager Brian Burke recently publicized his desire to trade 'expendable' Flames assets, including many pending UFA's and under-performing veterans on long term contracts. Among those players is Flames leading scorer Jiri Hudler (12-27, +0), who has been a diamond in the rough for a terrible Flames squad this season.

Hudler is averaging just over 0.85 points/per game, a remarkable number considering the Flames inability to score (109 GF, 29th in the league). He has been in on over a third of the team's scoring plays this season, and is also a plus player on a team with a -47 goal differential. These stats speak of a player who is in the prime of his career right now, and of someone who could net the Flames a serious return at the trade deadline. As these are career numbers for Hudler, they could perhaps be seen as an abberation aided by a serious talent vacuum in Calgary; but regardless, they are excellent two way statistics, and are indicative of a player who could be of benefit to any pending playoff team down the stretch, and into the spring.

Look for Karri Ramo (8-9-4, 2.75GAA .905SP) to get the start for the Flames on Monday. He has been on a steady incline of late, and has been head coach Bob Hartley's go-to-guy for much of the past two months. He has given the Flames repsectable goaltending, and an opportunity to win, on most nights, which is more than they expected from the journeyman Finn coming into the season.

The Sharks are feasting on weak opposition this season, and have been playing some of their best hockey of the season of late. They are currently riding a three game win streak, including a hard fought 5-4 road win over Tampa Bay on Saturday. Monday's game is the start of a 4-game homestand for the Sharks, which should lead to more success when taking into consideration their outstanding home record (16-2-3).

So many players have led the way for the Sharks this season, but none have done so from a more unexpected place than Joe Pavelski (25-23, +11). The veteran center has long been regarded as a respectable two-way center, lauded for his outstanding defensive play to go along with mid-level offensive numbers. His career high in goals and points prior to this season was a respectable 31 and 66 in 2010-11 and 2011-12.

2013/14 has seen a completely transformed Pavelski, as the center has taken the scoring reins for the Sharks, becoming one of the league's most proliferate scorers. A three-goal outburst on Saturday night gave him 25 on the season, good for 3rd in the league (tied with Sidney Crosby).

Head coach Todd McLellan has called Pavelski the team's best player for the balance of the season, and with key offensive contributors Logan Couture and Tomas Hertl out with long-term injuries, it has been Pavelski, and not expected scoring sources like Brent Burns and Patrick Marleau, who has picked up the slack. He figures to be a prominent figure on the American Olympic team in Sochi, where he is likely to get top-line billing alongside star wingers Zach Parise and Patrick Kane.

The Sharks have gotten respectable goaltending numbers from starter Antti Niemi (25-10-6, 2.39GAA .913SP), though there have been games where the veteran Finn has looked shaky. He is slated for the Monday start, and will look to improve upon allowing 4 goals on 29 shots in Tampa on Saturday.

This is certainly a David vs. Goliath match-up on paper, as the Flames find themselves running into a buzzsaw in San Jose. In two games this season, the Sharks have two wins, including a 3-2 overtime victory back in mid-November. With only 5 losses in 21 home games, they are enormous favorites on Monday night. And speaking of Pavelski, he has torn the Flames up this season, with 5 points (2-3) in the two Sharks victories

Minnesota Wild Vs Colorado Avalanche: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by JORDAN GARRETSON

Superior goaltending has been a huge difference for the Colorado Avalanche against the Minnesota Wild this season.

Given their performance in goal their last time out, that might continue Thursday night when Colorado and visiting Minnesota meet for the final time in 2013-14.

Colorado (33-14-5), which is seven points ahead of Minnesota (29-20-6) for third place in the Central Division, won three of the first four meetings to clinch the season series for the first time since 2005-06. The Wild, who outshot Colorado in each loss, had been 29-11-5 against the Avalanche over the last seven seasons.

Minnesota recorded a .915 save percentage in going 4-0-1 in last season's series while Colorado's save percentage was .873. This season, the Avalanche have enjoyed the edge with a .950 save percentage and 1.50 goals-against average in their matchups compared to .890 and 2.50 for the Wild.

Colorado's Semyon Varlamov, who went 2-0-1 with a 1.58 GAA while starting three of those contests, stopped 41 shots in Monday's 4-3 win at Dallas. The Avalanche were outshot 44-21, including 13-3 in the third period when Varlamov twice denied Tyler Seguin on a power play after Seguin had already scored two goals.

"He's playing outstanding for us," coach Patrick Roy told the team's official website. "I just want to be careful. I just want to go one game at a time, and I think that's the approach Varly has, but we understand what he's been doing for us."

Each Avalanche goal came from a different player, with Alex Tanguay providing the winner on a shot that deflected off a skate at the 4:13 mark of the third.

"It wasn't pretty, but those things happen," Tanguay said. " ... We'll take those bounces, and (Varlamov) was great. He gave us a chance to win, and that was the difference in the game."

Zach Parise recorded his first points since returning from a fractured left foot with a goal and two assists in the Wild's 4-2 win over league-leading Anaheim on Tuesday, marking just the second home loss in regulation for the Ducks. Parise, who played for the third time since missing 14 games, posted his second three-point performance of the season.

Jason Pominville scored his team-leading 21st goal and added an assist, giving him four points in three games after recording two over his previous six.

"I think their record at home pretty much speaks for itself. It is not an easy rink to come and play at. They play really well here," Parise said. "I think we had a really good start. We didn't sit back. I think even when we had the lead, we kept going at them. We didn't get passive. We put them on their heels, as opposed to us being on our heels."

Minnesota, which is 9-3-1 in January, snapped an 0-for-21, eight-game power-play drought on Mikael Granlund's second-period goal.

The Wild are 13-2-3 in their last 18 visits to Colorado.

Gabriel Landeskog, who had two assists against Dallas, has five goals and four assists in his last seven matchups with Minnesota, including a goal in each victory this season.

DALLAS STARS VS. NEW JERSEY DEVILS: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Kyle

The Devils look to end their two game slide as they travel to Dallas to take on a Stars team struggling to stay on playoff contention.
New Jersey will look to put an end to a two game losing streak when they take to the road to face the Stars and get back in the playoff conversation in the process. The Devils have undergone a massive overhaul over the past two years as they have seen franchise players in Zach Parise and Ilya Kovalchuk leave the team and have traded for future starting goaltender Corey Schneider who will certainly be under a microscope his entire tenure in the Swamp. Despite their hardships the Devils remain in a playoff position thanks in large part to a very underwhelming Metropolitan division that is certainly giving fans in the Atlantic division a headache but thanks to the top three in each division automatically qualifying for the playoffs the Devils have a great shot at doing so. Schneider will get the call between the pipes as he goes up against Kari Lehtonen for the Stars.
The Stars are another team that undergone significant changes over the last couple of seasons as they saw their long time captain Brendan Morrow get shipped to St. Louis and all-star forward Loui Eriksson get sent to Boston in exchange for former second overall pick Tyler Seguin. Dallas has things a little tougher than their Thursday night counterparts however as they’re victim of a very strong division that includes the Blackhawks, Blues, Avalanche, and Wild and as such they are likely to fall out of the playoff picture if they can’t turn things around in a big way. However, things have gone a lot better than expected in Big D this season as many thought this would be a season in transition they sit three games above .500 and have a couple statement victories to their name this season. All things considered I think this should be a good game between two very even teams but I have to side with the Devils as they have a better shot at making the playoffs and they need games like this to make it happen.

OTTAWA SENATORS VS. TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Randy

The Tampa Bay Lightning will look to continue their dominance over the Ottawa Senators when the two teams meet again Thursday night at the Canadian Tire Centre. Tampa Bay has won the previous two meetings and has won four of the last five.
Tampa Bay is still one of the better teams in hockey and has won three of its last four, but the defense could improve. It’s allowed 16 goals in the last five games, which is somewhat surprising considering goalie Ben Bishop was so consistent earlier in the season. His production has really dipped in the month of January. Offensively, the Lightening are still where they would like to be, scoring 16 goals in the last four games.
Ottawa knows what it’s like to have struggling goaltending, as it has been the story of the season. In the last six games, the Senators have allowed 21 goals. If a team has any type of offense at all, there’s a chance that game is going to feature a goal or two. Offensively, center Jason Spezza is starting to show a little life, producing five points in his last five games.
As for a pick, it’s surprising to see Tampa Bay as the slight underdogs. The Lightening are obviously the better team and have one of the best offenses in the NHL, which does bode well against a poor Ottawa defense.
Ottawa is only 11-11-2-3 at home, while Tampa Bay is 15-11-1-1 on the road. Tampa Bay is also 7-1 in games where its opponents have allowed two goals or less in its previous game.
You gotta love the Lightening getting plus money.
I’ll take my chances.

COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS VS. WASHINGTON CAPITALS : Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Mark

The Washington Capitals stay on the road to face the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.

Washington is looking to go on a hot streak an they've taken two steps towards that goal with a 5-4 overtime decision at Buffalo on Tuesday. Mike Green lit the lamp just 60 seconds in to the extra session for his second goal of the night to win it while Alex Ovechin scored twice and added a pair of assists with Troy Brouwer also scoring and picking up a helper. Braden Holtby picked up the win with a 23 save performance as the Caps and Sabres scored eight eight times in the first two periods before settling in to a defensive battle over the final 20 minutes.

Columbus hasn't been at their best the past week with three consecutive defeats following a 3-2 loss to visiting Ottawa on Tuesday night. The Senators scored once in each frame with Jason Spezza netting the winner with over four minutes remaining in regulation. Cam Atkinson and James Wisniewski each scored for the Blue Jackets with the pair assisting on each other's goal. Curtis McElhinney absorbed the loss in a 25 save effort as Columbus dropped number three in a row after winning a franchise record eight straight contests. Both tallies were via the power play with the Sens also scoring twice with the man advantage.

It appears Columbus has gone from red hot to cold and who knows if this turns in to a full blown slump as only time will tell how things play out. As a bettor I am looking at taking the plus money with Washington...

The Maple Leafs host the Florida Panthers on Thursday (7 p.m., Sportsnet). Here are three things to know about the Panthers.
1. The Leafs lost 3-1 to the Panthers on the strength of a 28-save performance from netminder Scott Clemmensen in their last meeting on Dec. 17 at the Air Canada Centre. They meet again Feb. 4 and April 10. The Panthers are 1-1 on this current four-game road trip. Florida is coming off a 6-2 loss to the Bruins on Tuesday. The Panthers are ranked No. 28 in the 30-team league in offence.
2. Netminder Tim Thomas played his first game in Boston on Tuesday since he was a member of the Bruins in 2011-2012. Thomas finished with 35 saves on 41 shots. Thomas, who won the Conn Smythe Trophy in Boston’s Stanley Cup championship, signed with Florida as a free agent this off-season. Thomas is 14-15-3 with a 2.75 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.
3. The Panthers are without rookie centre Aleksander Barkov, who missed his third straight game on Tuesday with a minor knee injury. He is tied for the team lead in points (24) with forward Brad Boyes, who has scored in his last two games, and defenceman Tom Gilbert.

BOSTON BRUINS VS. MONTREAL CANADIENS: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Kyle

The Canadiens head into the TD Garden looking to bridge the gap in the Atlantic division standings as the Bruins hold a 10 point advantage over their archrivals.

The Canadiens got back in the win column after an ugly four game losing streak had their fans in a panic and after being called out for his lackluster play during that stretch HJabs goalie Carey Price responded with a shutout in the team’s last contest. Montreal is a team looking to make amends after a very poor outing in last year’s playoffs in which they were swept by the seventh seeded Senators and while they started off strong this season things have cooled off quite a bit lately. The Canadiens always seem to get up for rivalry games however and this one should be no different as there is no love lost between these two and with division and plauoff implications at stake the atmosphere in the Garden will likely be one of a playoff atmosphere. Price is expected to start for the Habs as he goes head to head with Tuukka Rask.

The Bruins head into tonight’s contest with a four point edge on the Tampa Bay Lightning for top spot in the division but trail the Penguins by five points for the top mark in the Conference which would secure home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. The B’s suffered as bad a loss as anyone in last year’s postseason as they were up late in game six of the Cup finals against the Blackhawks before allowing two goals in 17 seconds that ultimately gave the game and the series to Chicago. However, the B’s have responded by having another strong season and are certainly a favourite to win the Eastern Conference again as it seems to be a two horse race with them and the Penguins. Boston will look to send the Habs to their fifth loss in six games in what should be a dog fight between two bitter rivals and while I think the Bruins get the best of the Canadiens here they are a lot closer than this line indicates. Either way I think we see a tight, defensive battle where goaltending will be the feature and as such I think this one stays under the number.

Copa del Rey: FC Barcelona vs Levante UD: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Arron Duckling

FC Barcelona are hoping to book their place in the semi finals of the Copa del Rey tomorrow when they host Levante UD at the Camp Nou in the second-leg of their quarter-finals clash with Joaquin Caparros' side. After a comfortable 4-1 win in the first-leg at the Ciutat de Valencia, the Blaugrana only need to show up to seal their place in the final four, but will be looking to build momentum after a difficult week.

A win tomorrow would be their third in the space of seven days; that's a huge morale booster for a club that has seen unexpected change at the boardroom level. And it's not just the results that are encouraging; Barça have been playing some of their best football of the season in recent matches. If they keep it up, who knows what we could still achieve this season.

After missing the weekend's win over Malaga CF through injury Alex Song, Martin Montoya, Carles Puyol and Andres Iniesta all return to Gerardo Martino's squad. However, Xavi, Dani Alves, Sergio Busquets and Jean-Marie Dongou all drop out for various reasons. Also missing out is Isaac Cuenca, who is the only outfield player in the first team squad yet to make an appearance this season.

As this is the Copa del Rey, expect Martino to make a host of changes to his line-up. Jose Manuel Pinto will start in goal, Martin Montoya and Adriano Correct will deputise at full back while Puyol and Marc Bartra should start in the heart of defense

Alex Song will fill in at pivote while Sergi Roberto will also get the nod; perhaps with Andres Iniesta in support. In contrast, expect little change in attack. Lionel Messi will probably start even if he shouldn't, and at least one of Alexis Sanchez and Pedro will join him in attack. That is unless Martino decides to start Ibrahim Afellay after just three minutes of game time I'm twelve months.

LEVANTE

After a month and a half on the sidelines with an injury sustained against Elche, Levante hope to welcome back Baba Diawara from injury to tomorrow. The Senagalese forward has three goals to his name this season and will surely be hoping to announce his return in style tomorrow.

Athletic Bilbao vs Atletico Madrid: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Ocean

Atletico got a 1-0 win in the first leg and the Madrid side is the favorite to qualify, but Bilbao will count on its home record to overturn the first leg deficit.

Bilbao with a grea team this year, they are on the 4th place in the league and like always that is due to the excellent home record: 9-2-0 this year in Primera and nobody won at San Mames this year in any competition (or San Sebastian – first few rounds, till new San Mames was built). Bilbao’s form is great: 4 wins in last 5 matches, only lost the first leg with Atletico. Won 5-1 vs. Osasuna in last Primera round on the road. Bilbao is injury-free for this game. Just Toquero is missing, otherwise full team. No rotation in the lineup for Athletic – best team will start.

Athletic Bilbao: Iraizoz – Iraola, San Jose, Laporte, Balenziaga – Iturraspe, Mikel Rico – M. Susaeta, Ander Herrera, Iker Muniain – Aduriz

Bet with the best odds and highest limits at Pinnacle.
Atletico struggled a little bit in January, lost some form for sure. Atletico is tied for the first place in the league after their fantastic season but in January they won 4 games only by a narrow margin, and also recorded 3 draws: vs Valencia, Barcelona and a 1-1 draw vs. Sevilla when they had the chance to move in the lead of the league. Vs. Bilbao they were not so dominant in the first leg but got the 1-0 win in the end. In the weekend Atletico Madrid beat Valladolid 4-2 on the road but it was again not the most impressive performance. Guilavogui, Tiago and Suarez are question marks for Atletico for this game. Oliver is for sure unavailable. Simeone will not use too much rotation in the lineup and will field the best 11 with maybe just 2-3 changes (Villa will probably not start).

Atletico Madrid: Courtois – Juanfran, Miranda, Godin, Filipe – Gabi, C.Rodriguez – Koke, Raul Garcia, Arda Turan – Diego Costa

Pick the over 2,5 goals bet here. This match will probably have some caution at first – Bilbao can not afford to concede a goal. But Atletico will try to hit their opponents to get a huge away goal and sooner or later the match will open up. Surely the visitors won`t play for 0-0. Both teams are very offensive … Atletico Madrid after 4-2 win at Valladolid, Bilbao scored 17 (!!!) goals in their last 4 wins. With the qualification up for grabs eventually somebody will need goals here and when either team opens up, expect the opponents to take advantage. The last three games played by Bilbao at home vs. Atletico Madrid all ended with 3 or more goals and this can happen again in this one. I see the over 2,5 as the best bet, at great odds, between two attacking-minded teams and this will be my tip for this game. My prediction would be Athletic Bilbao – Atletico Madrid 2-2 with Atletico Madrid to qualify. I am confident that these two spectacular teams won`t be involved in a second consecutive low-scoring game.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester City: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Liam Apicella

Wednesday evening's visit of Manchester City to White Hart Lane will provide Tottenham Hotspur with the chance of some redemption.

Back in November, Spurs were humiliated at the Etihad Stadium as City hit them for six.

Not long after, Andre Villas-Boas was sent packing. Since then, Tim Sherwood has guided the North Londoners through six Premier League fixtures, from which they have collected 16 points.

Last time out against Swansea City, Sherwood reverted to a 4-5-1 formation and he could stick with the same tactics for the visit of City.

That would mean that Emmanuel Adebayor would continue in his role as a lone striker, with the support being provided by the likes of Aaron Lennon and Christian Eriksen.

As for visiting City, they have a doubt over Alvaro Negredo, who is suffering with a shoulder complaint. Should the Spaniard miss out, then Edin Dzeko is likely to partner the fit-again Sergio Aguero in attack.

The Citizens have won just one of their last 10 trips to the Lane, which they achieved in August 2011 courtesy of a 5-1 victory.

Sunderland vs Stoke City: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Mark Bowering

Two teams with contrasting recent fortunes meet when Stoke City travel to Sunderland.

While Sunderland appear galvanised under the stewardship of Gus Poyet and have put together a run that consists of just one defeat in their last seven Premier League games, in addition to reaching the Capital One Cup final and the FA Cup fifth round, Stoke are struggling ahead of Wednesday's game.

Mark Hughes’ men continue to be inconsistent on their travels and are aiming to avoid a 10th successive away Premier League game without a win.

Stoke's last victory at Sunderland was a 1-0 success in April 1994 – a winless streak stretching 11 matches.

Perhaps the most telling statistic of all for Stoke could be that Sunderland, who are second bottom, could be within a point of Hughes' men should Poyet's side secure a victory on Wednesday.

Sunderland are 7/1 with Betway to beat Stoke City 2-1Stoke, who have failed to score in five of their last six away games in all competitions, are unbeaten in their last three encounters with the Wearside club and the return to full fitness of goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is a timely boost, as is the potential arrival of striker Peter Odemwingie.

Begovic made his comeback from a month out with a broken finger in the 1-0 FA Cup defeat at Chelsea on Sunday and had an immediate impact, producing a string of fine saves.

Odemwingie, meanwhile, is poised to join Stoke as part of the swap deal that should see Kenwyne Jones depart for Cardiff City. Both Cardiff and Stoke will hope to finalise negotiations prior to the midweek Premier League programme.

Stoke manager Hughes believes striker Odemwingie can help his side become more ruthless in attack.

"He's got a little pace which we need to add to our squad and he can play both wide and through the middle," said the Welshman, who looks set to again be without Robert Huth (knee), Matthew Etherington (calf) and Andy Wilkinson (foot).

Poyet made 10 changes to his Sunderland team for the 1-0 home win over non-league Kidderminster Harriers in the FA Cup on Saturday, but will be expected to revert back to his strongest XI for the visit of Stoke. Connor Wickham has been recalled from a loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday and could be in contention for a place on the bench.

Keiren Westwood (shoulder) and Carlos Cuellar (hip) remain unavailable as Sunderland bid to avenge the 2-0 away defeat they suffered when the two sides met in November.

One Sunderland player who is likely to be at the centre of attention on Wednesday is midfielder Lee Cattermole, who is a confirmed transfer target for Hughes and Stoke.

Chelsea vs. West Ham United: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Jack Prescott

Chelsea can make it six consecutive wins in the Premier League on Wednesday when they entertain struggling West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are currently two points behind leaders Arsenal in the table following an impressive run both home and away.

Meanwhile, West Ham are in desperate need of the points as they battle against relegation.

The Hammers sit one point adrift of safety in the standings after six defeats from their last nine matches.

Chelsea romped to a comfortable 3-0 victory when the two teams met at Upton Park back in November.

Petr Cech, John Terry and Cesar Azpilicueta are expected to return for the hosts after the trio were rested for Sunday's win over Stoke City in the FA Cup. Fernando Torres remains sidelined with knee ligament damage.

West Ham are continuing to struggle with injuries for the match, but Guy Demel, Joey O'Brien and Winston Reid could all be back for manager Sam Allardyce.

New loan signings Antonio Nocerino and Marco Borriello may be named among the substitutes for the match in West London.

Aston Villa vs West Brom: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Brendan McLoughlin

Pepe Mel insists he already knows the damage Christian Benteke could potentially do to his West Brom side after revealing he previously tried to sign the Aston Villa striker.

The Baggies' new Spanish coach admits he is a long-term admirer of Benteke - and even asked Real Betis to sign him when he was in charge there in 2012.

But Villa eventually won the race for the Belgium international, shelling out £7m to Genk - and Benteke repaid them with 23 goals last term.

After a dip in form, the 23-year-old is back among the goals after scoring in back-to-back games against Arsenal and Liverpool - and Mel is out to ensure he is a marked man in Wednesday night's Midlands derby.

“I actually asked Real Betis to buy Benteke, but he was very expensive! Benteke is a well known player," he said. “We played with a system using wingers and we needed someone in the middle to put the ball in the back of the net - Benteke plays this role very well.”

Nicolas Anelka is, according to Mel, still “99% certain” to be involved as he fights an FA disciplinary charge over his controversial use of the quenelle gesture - which critics argue is anti-Semitic - to celebrate a goal against West Ham last month.

Anelka faces a minimum five-match ban, but can play for Albion until his hearing, which is set for the end of February.

Villa boss Paul Lambert said: “You never condone racism in any shape or form but I don’t want to get into it. I’m here to talk about football, I’m not a politician and I don’t pretend to be one.

“He has been at some fabulous clubs, won the biggest things going and has been terrific player. if you are talking about football he has been terrific.”

Mel has the chance to make himself an instant hero in only his second match in charge by delivering victory over Lambert's Villans, who rallied from 0-2 down to get a point from November's reverse fixture.

Real Madrid vs. Espanyol: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Richard Langford

Espanyol has their work cut out for them if they are to advance past Real Madrid in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey.

Los Blancos secured a 1-0 win in the first leg of this matchup, and that came on the Estadi Cornella-El Prat pitch. Now Espanyol have to make up a goal disadvantage on Real Madrid's stomping grounds.

Along with a with an earlier matchup in La Liga play, this will be the third time these two clubs have met since Jan. 12. Espanyol hosted and lost both, 1-0.

Real Madrid enters this match on an absolute tear. They've won each of their past nine matches across all competitions.

Gareth Bale took a nasty shot to an unfortunate place this past Saturday, Jan. 25. He was forced off the pitch in the eighth minute as a result.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti told the press, via ESPN, that Bale will not be able to participate in Tuesday's contest. Ancelotti did clear up, however, that the injury was not related to the specific area where Bale was struck:

Crystal Palace v Hull City: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Hull Daily Mail

FOOTBALL moves on very quickly and no-one can afford to be thinking about the FA Cup when Hull City head to Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Whilst it’s great to be in the last 16 and facing a game against Brighton, City’s bread and butter is the Premier League and they need to ensure they do the business at Selhurst Park.

City will go there with a buzz around the squad after beating Southend, but you’d still expect manager Steve Bruce to make something like eight or nine changes to his starting line-up.

Fortunately for Bruce, he now has players waiting in the wings who are playing well and putting real pressure on him with regards to his team selection. That can only keep everyone on their toes and be good for the club’s hopes of avoiding the drop.

But make no mistake, they are heading to a Palace side which is now looking like it has real belief that they can avoid the drop themselves.

Since Tony Pulis came in as manager they have looked a lot more organised and are a difficult side to beat at home anyway.

Pulis was at the KC Stadium and in the stands when Palace inflicted a 1-0 defeat on the Tigers earlier in the season, but they are now a side which is much more in his mould.

As fans will know from his time at Stoke, he likes his sides to get the ball up to the strikers early and try to play the majority of the game in the opposition’s third.

City will have to be able to deal with that threat, before they can even start to think about getting the ball down and passing it in the manner they prefer.

Palace are coming into the game on the back of a cup defeat by Championship outfit Wigan, the holders, so the two sides could not be more of a contrast in terms of atmosphere.

But with belief running through the camp after the weekend FA Cup win, City will fancy their chances in the capital.

And although it is a bit of a six-pointer, it’s also a great chance to put yourself in an excellent position if you do pick up the victory.

Liverpool v Everton: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Craig Bloomfield

With that in mind, it is a game both clubs will be desperate not to lose, but with Tottenham in the top four race too, and Manchester United potentially coming up on the rails, even a draw would probably be a setback for the Reds and Blues.

Brendan Rodgers and Roberto Martinez will play their strongest available XIs, the make up of which will be heavily dependent on injury news.

Martinez has confirmed that Seamus Coleman will definitely miss the derby, while Sylvain Distin is a doubt.

Should the Frenchman be passed fit, it will probably mean John Stones deputises for Coleman at right-back, but if Distin misses out, Stones could be selected at centre-back ahead of John Heitinga, meaning a place for Tony Hibbert at full-back.

Coleman's absence at right-back may persuade Brendan Rodgers to select Luis Suarez as the nominal left-sided attacker in his Liverpool side, with less emphasis on the player in that position needed to track back and help the Reds' left-back defensively.

That would also allow the Reds boss to give Phillipe Coutinho a break. The Brazilian has started 10 of the last 11 Liverpool games (coming on at half-time in the other, an FA Cup tie with Oldham) and has looked a little jaded in recent weeks.

Rodgers will also be praying that Joe Allen is passed fit, enabling the Welshman to slot in to a midfield three, playing the Lucas holding role, alongside Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson.

Neither Gerrard nor Henderson are truly adept at shielding the Reds back four and Rodgers will also want his team to compete for possession against the Toffees midfield, which will almost certainly contain Gareth Barry and James McCarthy.

Ahead of the Blues' impressive midfield duo, Martinez must decide who will link the play between the middle of the park and Romelu Lukaku.

Being away from home, he may opt for the industry of Leon Osman, with Kevin Mirallas and new boy Aiden McGeady providing ammunition and width, but Steven Pienaar could also feature if passed fit.

Lukaku will fancy his chances against Kolo Toure, although Mamadou Sakho could yet reclaim his place in the Liverpool back four if he proves his fitness.

Jon Flanagan returned from injury as a late sub in the FA Cup win at Bournemouth and may get the nod ahead of Martin Kelly at right-back.

Some Kopites are even hoping Flanagan is selected at left-back ahead of Aly Cissokho.

Here is how the two teams could line up:

Swansea City vs Fulham: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Matt Law

Fulham will attempt to pull Swansea City deeper into the Premier League relegation battle when they travel to the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The home side have taken just one point from their last six league games, with that run of form leaving them in 15th position in the table, just three points off the bottom three.

Swansea's home form has also been disappointing this season with five defeats and just two wins from their 11 matches on their own patch.

Fulham, meanwhile, sit in 17th position on 19 points. They have lost their last two in the league, but would move ahead of their opponents on Tuesday with victory.

That said, the London outfit have lost eight of their 11 league games on their travels this season, scoring just eight times in the process and conceding 26.

The corresponding match last season ended in a 3-0 win for Fulham, but Swansea were 2-1 winners when they travelled to Craven Cottage earlier in the campaign.

Swansea will have Spanish winger Pablo Hernandez to call upon in the league for the first time since New Year's Day after the former Valencia attacker recovered from a hamstring injury, but key trio Jonathan de Guzman, Nathan Dyer and Jonjo Shelvey are all expected to miss out.

Leading scorer from last season Michu also remains on the sidelines, but in-form Wilfried Bony will lead the line for the Welsh outfit.

Fulham, meanwhile, will ring the chances from their 1-1 draw in the FA Cup with Sheffield United. That will mean returns for the likes of Scott Parker, Steve Sidwell, Dimitar Berbatov and Clint Dempsey, but long-term absentee Brede Hangeland remains on the sidelines.

Norwich City vs Newcastle: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by DEEPAK VIKRAMAN

Newcastle United, with reports of one of their best players -- Yohan Cabaye -- swirling, will look to put those issues on the backburner when they travel to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City in the English Premier League.

Where to Watch Live

"They're doing well. They had a very good run before a poorer run, and then a very good result at West Ham," Norwich manager Chris Hughton said. "What has been very good has been their away form, so that we'll have to be conscious.

"We're up against a good side but we're at home and we're concentrating very much on what we would like to do."

Alan Pardew though has been bombarded by questions over Cabaye's future, with the France international midfielder subject of a bid from PSG, while Manchester United have also reportedly showed an interest.

The manager insisted Cabaye was in the right frame of mind, and would start the game against Norwich, who are unbeaten in their last four home games against Newcastle, despite reports suggesting the midfielder could be headed to France on Tuesday to complete his switch to PSG. "Yohan's been very, very good," Pardew said. "He's preparing for the Norwich game. I expect him to play."

While Newcastle have half an eye on getting near that top-four spot, for Norwich it is all about staying as far away from the relegation zone as possible, with five points currently separating them from the bottom three.

Chris Hughton, a former Newcastle manager, has been under pressure to get results, with the 1-0 win over Hull City ten days ago lifting that pall of gloom a little bit.

"Irrespective of who the opposition were tomorrow, it's an opportunity for us," Hughton said on Monday. "We want to build on our last home performance. I personally didn't feel the scoreline was a true reflection of the Hull game. We had some really good periods and we wish we could have made it more comfortable for ourselves, but it was a game we won.

"There's a good feel at having done that and we want to extend that, and we have a good opportunity to do that tomorrow."

Team news: Norwich: Michael Turner, Elliot Bennett (both knee) and Jonathan Howson (back) are still ruled out, while Jonathan Gutierrez is ineligible to play against his parent club.

Newcastle: Mathieu Debuchy returns from a three-match suspension, but Fabricio Coloccini and Ryan Taylor remain sidelined. Papiss Cisse is also ruled out, and it remains to be seen whether Cabaye will even be involved, despite Pardew's assurances.

Expected lineups: Norwich: Ruddy; Martin, Basssong, Bennett, Olsson; Snodgrass, Fer, Johnson, Pilkington; Van Wolfswinkel, Hooper.

Newcastle: Krul; Debuchy, Williamson, Yanga-Mbiwa, Santon; Tiote, Anita; Sissoko, Cabaye, Gouffran; Remy.

Prediction: 1-0 to Newcastle

The wacky fixture date and time thing continues for another match, as Arsenal and Southampton play that rarest of beasts, a Tuesday night game, thanks to this weekend's FA Cup exertions.  With seven games on the schedule, I guess it's not that rare this Tuesday, though.

Anyhoo, Arsenal made it through Friday night's Cup win pretty much unscathed, and, in a sentence I feel like I may have written a few times before, are rapidly returning to health; Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey, Thomas Vermaelen, and Tomas Rosicky may be available for selection (although Arteta and Vermaelen are a bit questionable), and we can probably expect a full-strength, Giroud/Szcz/Cazorla/Sagna-populated lineup tomorrow, as Arsenal look to keep turning the screws on their title-contending challengers.  After playing pretty well on Friday, it's reasonable to expect Ox to get some time at his former club as well, although I doubt he'll get a start.

Remember back in late September, when Southampton were as high as fourth in the table, and it wasn't unreasonable to think they'd have a pretty strong season and maybe even push for a European place?  That's the cautionary tale about paying too much attention to the table that early in the season.  After their visit to the Emirates in November, a 2-0 Arsenal win that was a lot harder than the scoreline indicates, Southampton struggled to score for a while, lost eight of their next nine, and saw their league position drop as low as ninth.

Ninth is, in fact, where they currently sit - and it seems like, without trying to sound condescending, that's where they belong.  They're a squad full of solid, hard-working players who play in a formation similar to Arsenal's, so they're by no means a bad team, they just lack the personnel to maintain a serious charge at a Champions League place at this point.

I fully expect this to be a tight, nervy game that may well end in a draw; Arsenal are on a bit of a hot streak at the moment, but Southampton always give Arsenal a good test.  Away from home, especially, Arsenal will need to avoid their seemingly regular 20 minute stretch where they don't seem to care about the game very much if they want to avoid dropping points tomorrow night.

POSSIBLE STARTING LINEUP:
Szczesny; Monreal, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Sagna; Flamini, Ramsey; Podolski, Ozil, Gnabry; Giroud.

Manchester United vs Cardiff City: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by Liam Apicella

All eyes - and not for the first time this season - will be on Old Trafford on Tuesday night for more than one reason.

Ordinarily, the return of the man responsible for Manchester United winning the Champions League back in 1999 would dominate the headlines, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been trumped by Juan Mata.

The Spaniard, who completed his club-record £37.1m switch from Chelsea to United at the weekend, has been tipped to make his highly anticipated debut against Solskjaer's Cardiff City.

As well as Mata, Red Devils manager David Moyes may be able to call upon the fit again Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, although the latter of that duo may start the encounter as a substitute.

Rio Ferdinand and Marouane Fellaini have also recently returned to training following injury layoffs, but captain Nemanja Vidic is suspended and Michael Carrick is doubtful.

Meanwhile, having started on the bench against Bolton Wanderers at the weekend, it is expected that Solskjaer will hand recalls to Fraizer Campbell and Craig Noone.

Man United full-back Fabio da Silva may also be part of the Cardiff squad, providing that his proposed transfer is completed, while the same can be said for Stoke City striker Kenwyne Jones.

The away side, who are bottom of the table, have not defeated United since November 1960, which is a sequence of results that dates back six encounters.

Sacramento Kings vs Utah Jazz: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

by JEFF BARTL

While the Sacramento Kings haven't played all that well when fully healthy, they're finding things even more difficult without their two leading scorers.

DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay both are game-time decisions as Sacramento looks to avoid a fourth straight loss when it visits the Utah Jazz on Monday night.

The Kings (15-28), one-half game ahead of Western Conference-worst Utah (15-29), have played the last two contests without Cousins (ankle sprain) and Gay (Achilles strain), who combine for 42.7 points per game.

Sacramento, though, nearly pulled off an upset in Friday's 116-111 overtime loss to Indiana before falling 125-117 to Denver on Sunday. Isaiah Thomas scored 22 points for the Kings, who are hoping to have at least one of their top players back Monday.

Coach Mike Malone said before Sunday's contest that Gay is closer to returning than Cousins, though both will be evaluated before each contest to determine their availability.

Marcus Thornton had 19 points Sunday and rookie Ben McLemore added 18 off the bench.

"The reality is if DeMarcus and Rudy are out, other guys have to step up," Malone said. "We had six guys in double figures and we're going to need that again (Monday). Utah is waiting on us, it's a very tough place to play and we're going to have to have a concerted team effort to have a chance to win on the road."

The Jazz lost back-to-back games to Minnesota before beating Washington 104-101 on Saturday behind a solid performance from reserve Enes Kanter, who scored 24 points and hit 11 of 13 from the field.

Derrick Favors played after missing the previous contest with a right hip strain and finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds, but he deferred to Kanter most of the night.

"Enes was doing the scoring, so I just tried to go out there and play defense and get rebounds," Favors said

Kanter scored four points in each loss to the Timberwolves.

"I personally was really bad two games against Minnesota, (so) I wanted to come out with lots of energy," Kanter said. "My coaches have given me a lot of confidence and we've been practicing really hard. The things I have been trying to do and now showing in the games."

Gordon Hayward added 16 points and Alec Burks scored 15 off the bench for Utah, which has won six of eight at home. Though the Jazz sit at the bottom of the West, they are 12-8 with a starting lineup of Hayward, Favors, rookie Trey Burke, Marvin Williams and Richard Jefferson.

"We did a good job of attacking them after playing inside-out," said Burke, who had 12 points and eight assists. "We attacked them in transition, attacked them in the half court."

Jefferson scored 20 points, while Favors and Hayward had 17 apiece to help Utah beat Sacramento 122-101 in the last meeting Dec. 11.

Thomas had 20 for the Kings in that contest after scoring 26 off the bench Dec. 7 to help overcome Hayward's 22 points in a 112-102 overtime victory. McLemore hit a 3-pointer with three seconds remaining in regulation to send it into OT.
