The Atlanta Hawks will face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night in an NBA 2014 game that will be live streaming online free from Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City at 8:00 PM ET
Kevin Durant will attempt to score at least 30 points in an 11th consecutive game and try to lead the Thunder to an eighth straight win Monday night against the visiting Hawks.

Durant was forced to sit out a 101-83 win in Boston on Friday because of a sprained right shoulder, but was back in the lineup the next night in Philadelphia. The NBA's leading scorer (31.1 ppg) not only registered 32 points to extend his career-best streak, but also recorded his fifth all-time triple-double and second this season.
"I hate sitting out, but it was best for me and my shoulder," said Durant, who is averaging 38.2 points in his last 10 games. "I guess that day off was needed."
Durant finished with 14 rebounds and 10 assists in a 103-91 victory.
"(Durant) has bounce in his step just about all the time, and that's the beauty of our team and Kevin Durant. He loves the game. He's always going to find enough energy to put us in a position to win a game," coach Scott Brooks said. "I thought tonight, (his) all-around game was fantastic. Having a triple-double after he came with a sore shoulder is remarkable on his part."
Durant's streak of 30-plus point games is the NBA's longest in a single season since Tracy McGrady had 14 in a row for Orlando in 2002-03. The Thunder forward is averaging 31.9 points in his last seven games against the Hawks (23-20) and has 30 or more in each of his team's back-to-back wins in the series.
Durant had 30 points and 10 rebounds in the only matchup this season, a 101-92 victory in Atlanta on Dec. 10. He scored 41 on 14-of-23 shooting in a 100-92 road win Dec. 19, 2012.
The Hawks had given up an average of 112.6 points over a five-game stretch before cruising to a 112-87 win in Milwaukee on Saturday. Atlanta shot 52.6 percent after hitting 38.2 percent of its shots in a 105-79 loss to San Antonio the night before.
"Our focus was to come out and get back to competing. Guys worked pretty hard out there and the defense was good," said forward Paul Milsap, who had a team-best 20 points.
Millsap had team highs of 23 points and 12 rebounds against Oklahoma City earlier this season.
The Thunder, winners in six of the last eight in the series, have won their last seven games by an average of 11.0 points and have prevailed in their last five at home by an average of 13.6.
The Hawks arrive in Oklahoma City having won back-to-back road games after winning just two of their previous 11 away from Atlanta.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Milwaukee Bucks : Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

The Los Angeles Clippers will meet the Milwaukee Bucks in an NBA 2014 basketball game that will be live streaming online free at 8:00 PM ET from the Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee.
The Clippers seek a third straight victory to close out this trip Monday night against a team in Milwaukee that held a team meeting after its latest ugly defeat.

Los Angeles (31-15) went 4-3 on a trip from Dec. 4-14, and is looking for more following Saturday's 126-118 victory over Toronto. Jamal Crawford scored a season-high 37 points and matched a season best with 11 assists.
"Whenever you can go over .500 on a road trip, it's good," Crawford said. "We went 4-3 and we weren't satisfied. Now we're 4-2 with an opportunity to go 5-2. It shows the growth."
Blake Griffin scored 30 to increase his average to 26.5 on this trip. He figures to be relishing Monday's contest since he has five double-doubles in as many games against the Bucks, averaging 22.8 points and 11.8 rebounds.
"This is the best Blake Griffin we've seen and he's going to continue to get better," Crawford said.
The Clippers have taken 10 of their last 13 games against Eastern Conference foes.
Milwaukee (8-35) is 1-13 against the West, and has lost 10 straight inter-conference games at home.
The Bucks dropped to 1-11 in January with Saturday's 112-87 home loss to Atlanta that caused coach Larry Drew to hold a 21-minute meeting afterward with the league's worst team.
"This was a totally, totally unacceptable performance," Drew said. "Do we have anything inside that will allow us to go out and compete at a high level?"
Brandon Knight scored 27 points for Milwaukee, which trailed by as many as 34. Knight made 5 of 7 3-pointers, but the rest of the Bucks missed all 14 of their attempts.
"This is not a time to make up excuses for what has happened to us," Drew said. "The situation is what it is. As I told the guys after the game, this is beyond basketball, it's beyond basketball. It's about representing what's on your chest and what's on your back."
The situation figures to get worse Monday for Milwaukee, the NBA's lowest scoring team at 91.3 points per game. No team has averaged fewer points over an 82-game season since 2005-06.
The Clippers, in contrast, are one of the league's highest scoring teams at 106.0 points per game -- 119.0 in their last two.
The Clippers swept the Bucks by an average of 21.0 points last season. They had Chris Paul then, but are 8-3 without the injured star now.
"We're doing it without one of the best players in the world," Crawford said.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Chicago Bulls : Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

The Minnesota Timberwolves will meet the Chicago Bulls on Monday night in an NBA 2014 game that will be live streaming online free from the United Center in Chicago at 8:00 PM ET.
Tied for the NBA lead in wins this month, Chicago (22-21) has compiled a 10-3 record to open 2014, including an 8-3 mark since sending Luol Deng to Cleveland on Jan. 6. Though he's only been with the team for six weeks since signing as a free agent, D.J. Augustin has been carrying the load, posting 20.4 points per game while shooting 51.6 percent over the last seven.

"D.J. was a huge pick up for us," coach Tom Thibodeau told the team's official website. "We had a need with Derrick (Rose) and Kirk (Hinrich) going down and obviously he had a need as well. It was good for him and it has been great for us.
"He was ready when this opportunity came around and he hit the ground running. It's not just his individual talents but it is also what he is doing for our team. He is running our team well."
After falling 112-95 to the Clippers on Friday, Chicago bounced back with an 89-87 win at Charlotte the following night. Augustin, who has scored at least 27 points in three of the last four games, led the way with a season-high 28 against his former club.
"I'm just out there playing freely and doing what I can," said Augustin, who scored 15 in the fourth quarter. "All I think about is playing hard and whatever play Thibs runs I do my best."
Joakim Noah also came up big with 11 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. He has averaged 14.0 boards while stringing together 16 consecutive double-digit efforts, the team's longest such run since Dennis Rodman's streak of 43 in 1996-97.
The Bulls haven't dropped back-to-back contests since a season worst-tying four-game skid Dec. 14-19.
Chicago has had its way with Minnesota (21-22) of late, taking seven straight meetings by an average of 13.3 points.
Kevin Love was limited by a sore knee in Saturday's 115-104 loss at Portland, Minnesota's first defeat in four games. Love, who had 26 points, 14 boards and eight assists the night before in a 121-120 win at Golden State, scored just 15 while shooting 4 of 12.
"It was tough. This morning, it was one of those times where you jump out of bed and think, I don't know how I'm going to play tonight," he said. "We're happy to have a day off and head to Chicago."
Minnesota is 1-11 on the road when scoring fewer than 109 points. Chicago is giving up 92.9 per game to rank second in the NBA.

Toronto Raptors vs Brooklyn Nets: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

The Brooklyn Nets' only blemish in 2014 came at the hands of the Toronto Raptors, who got a solid performance from DeMar DeRozan in that contest.

Brooklyn won't have to contend with the injured DeRozan on Monday night as it seeks a sixth straight victory, while visiting Toronto likely will be looking for Terrance Ross to provide another high-scoring effort in DeRozan's absence.

The Nets (20-22), who have won 10 of 11 in the new year after a disappointing start, had their best defensive performance of the season and got 17 points off the bench from Andray Blatche in Sunday's 85-79 win at Boston.

Brooklyn set a season best for points allowed while holding the Celtics to 37.8 percent shooting from the field. It also marked the regular-season homecoming for Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, who helped Boston win the 2008 NBA title before being traded to the Nets in the offseason.

"This was the toughest game I ever had to play. Tougher than any championship game, Game 7. Tough to concentrate on what was at hand," Pierce said. "You get showered with love the whole game ... every second of the game. I'm happy we got it over with and I can go back to playing basketball."

The Nets' only defeat during their hot stretch came Jan. 11 against the Raptors, who got 26 points from DeRozan in a 96-80 victory. DeRozan, though, sprained his left foot in Saturday's 126-118 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers after scoring 10 points in just over 21 minutes.

DeRozan, averaging career bests of 21.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists, won't play in this contest and could be out longer for first-place Toronto (22-21), which leads Brooklyn by 1 1/2 games in the Atlantic Division.

"If I couldn't perform or help my team, there was no point in me being out there," DeRozan said after Saturday's contest. "I didn't want to slow anybody down so I just decided I was not going to try and force it."

Ross did his best to pick up the slack, tying Vince Carter's franchise record with a career-high 51 points while hitting 10 of 17 from 3-point range. He nearly doubled his previous career high of 26 set on Jan. 2.

"You don't think about it once you try winning the game and you do whatever," Ross said. "You don't really realize what you're doing until it's all over."

Kyle Lowry, who had 24 points in the first meeting with the Nets, said Ross' performance ignited the Raptors despite the defeat.

"I've seen him shoot the ball before and with DeMar going down he stepped it up," Lowry said. "That's what a team does."

Ross scored 14 points in the win over Brooklyn but had only seven in a 102-100 loss to the Nets on Nov. 26, as Blatche scored 24 and Joe Johnson added 21.

Johnson has struggled over his last two games, though, going 3 for 12 from the field and totaling 11 points. He averaged 22.9 points and shot 51.7 percent over his previous seven.

Brooklyn shot only 39.3 percent Sunday.

Patrick Patterson is expected to play in this contest for the Raptors despite breaking his nose when he was hit with an elbow Saturday. Tyler Hansbrough has missed the last 13 with an ankle injury and will be a game-time decision.

Phoenix Suns vs. Philadelphia 76ers : Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

The Phoenix Suns will play the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night in an NBA 2014 basketball game that will be live streaming online free at 7:00 PM ET from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
The Suns started their four-game road trip in dramatic fashion, erasing a big deficit behind a dominant defensive performance in the second half to come away with a win.

On Monday night, the Suns continue the trip when they face the 76ers, a team on the opposite end of the defensive spectrum.
Against Cleveland on Sunday, the Suns held the Cavaliers to just six third-quarter points and only 29 in the entire second half in a 99-90 victory. Phoenix trailed by 18 at halftime, but shot 43.6 percent in the second half, while limiting Cleveland to 23.8 percent.
Markieff Morris scored 27 points and grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds for the Suns, who have won three of four following a three-game skid.
The comeback was even more impressive because the Suns (25-18) had struggled to put away teams on the road prior to their rally in Cleveland. Phoenix had dropped three straight away from home, though it had been outscored by just 3.0 points per game in those contests.
"On the road, you have to play defense. If you don't play defense on the road, you have no chance," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said.
The Suns should be able to get their offense going well before halftime against the 76ers, who are allowing a league-worst 109.5 points per game.
With their defense struggling mightily, the 76ers need their offense to contribute more but that hasn't been the case lately. Philadelphia has averaged 94.4 points and shot 42.4 percent from the field during a 2-9 stretch.
Leading scorer Evan Turner has missed 19 of 28 from the field in the last two games, while rookie Michael Carter-Williams is shooting 32.6 percent (15 for 46) in his past three.
Turner was unavailable when these teams met Dec. 28 in Phoenix, missing the game because of a sore knee.
That was the second straight win in the series for Phoenix, which has lost three of four in Philadelphia.

The 2013-14 FA Cup continued with a full schedule of fifth-round matches the weekend of January 24-26.

Premier League leaders Arsenal kicked off the weekend with a 4-0 win at home to League One side Coventry. On Saturday, Liverpool and Manchester City were among the top-flight teams in action.

The weekend is set to conclude with two more matches on Sunday, including Chelsea's match at home to Stoke City.

FC Barcelona vs. Malaga : Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

Barcelona enter this match in an unfamiliar position: second place. Thankfully for the Blaugrana, a win at home is enough to take them back to the summit. Malaga, however, will have something to say about the matter.

The Anchovies are still full of talented players, especially goalkeeper Willy Caballero, and they have a relatively strong defense. This year, Malaga have given up 24 goals, only 3 more than Real Madrid. But they are far off from their glory days with Manuel Pellegrini at the helm, where they were seconds away from eliminating Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. Will the win prove straightforward for Barca?

Barcelona are in a bit of a flux as Sandro Rosell stepped down as president amid allegations of corruption. Josep Maria Bartomeu is the new president; will the boys back him with a win? Will the media frenzy be a distraction? Will they even care?

TEAM NEWS

BARCELONA

Besides the big change at the top, it's been relatively quiet for FC Barcelona. Dani Alves returns from suspension and should start at right-back. Carles Puyol is out after picking up an injury in midweek, in addition to Andres Iniesta, Alex Song, and Martin Montoya not recovering in time. Oier Olazabal, Neymar, and Jonathan Dos Santos are on the long-term injury list.

On the other hand, Ibrahim Afellay has made the match squad for the second time after his long injury lay-off. Is he still too unfit for even a spot on the bench? Cameroonian prodigy Jean Marie Dongou has also made the squad after making an appearance in the last league game.

Victor Valdes should start in goal as the undisputed #1 after coming back from injury. Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano will be the two defenders in the middle, unless Tata Martino is convinced enough by Marc Bartra. Jordi Alba and Dani Alves will be the two fullbacks, even if the combo may lack balance.

With Song out, Sergio Busquets will start at pivote, with Cesc Fabregas taking up another spot in the middle of the park. Will Xavi start, having played a lot in the past two consecutive games? Since Iniesta, Song, and Dos Santos are out, Sergi Roberto is the only logical option.

Lionel Messi will surely relish the chance to build on an impressive cup game, in which he gave out his first assist hat trick. Pedro Rodriguez, Alexis Sanchez, and Cristian Tello will fight over the two wing spots, the latter buoyed by his first hat trick of his career.

MALAGA

By contrast, Malaga have few on the injured list. Only Weligton is out injured, but it's a big loss for Malaga. He's been a force in the heart of defense despite his advanced age. On the other hand, they have no suspended players.

Caballero will start in goal, with Sergio Sanchez, Vitorino Antunes, and Jesus Gamez joining him in one of the Liga's stronger defenses. Flavio Ferreira is likely to take up Weligton's spot, unless Marcos Angeleri is preferred.

Fernando Tissone is almost a lock to start, with Sergi Dader and Ignacio Camacho taking up the other spot in the midfield two.

Eliseu should play on the left wing, with Duda taking up another spot in the attacking midfield. Samuel could be preferred on the right wing. Fransisco Portillo and Pedro Morales are other options.

Upfront, Roque Santa Cruz should start. The Paraguayan veteran is the team's leading scorer in La Liga. Mounir El Hamdaoui, on loan from Fiorentina, is the other option.
