Two cellar dwellars collide on Thursday night as the Utah Jazz host the Milwaukee Bucks.
Head to head, the Bucks are 3-18 ATS in the last 21 meetings and 0-11 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Utah while the home team is 10-2 ATS in the last 12 meetings. The Jazz are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 vs. NBA Central, but just 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games. The Bucks on the other hand are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games, but just 7-23 ATS in their last 30 vs. NBA Northwest and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games following a S.U. win.
If your looking for a good basketball game to watch, then tune in somewhere else because you aren't going to find one here. Both the Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks find themselves at the bottom of their respective conferences and in the bottom five in the league in offense, which leads me to my pick where i'll be taking the under.
Utah plays at one of the slowest paces around and their offense overall just isn't very good at all as they have averaged just 89.8 points over their last nine games, despite the emergence of Trey Burke. While the over is 8-1 in the Bucks last nine games, three of those games went into extra time and Milwaukee hasn't topped 95 points in any of their last three contests.
The Bucks have only covered the spread in three of their last 21 against the Jazz, but they are actually 8-8 ATS on the road this season compared to Utah who has covered in just five of their 15 home games thus far. The Jazz have won back-to-back home games against the Lakers and Bobcats, but just by a combined five points. I would lean the Bucks here when looking at a side.
Milwaukee has been giving up a ton of points lately, but that's not enough for me to change my pick of the under here. It seems like every Jazz home games is a slow scoring one and here we have two of the worst offenses in the league going at it...
